About the position
The Boys Rugby Assistant Coach will support the head coach in training and developing the boys' rugby team at Simsbury High School for the 2024-25 season. This role involves assisting with practice sessions, game strategies, and fostering a positive team environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the head coach in training and developing the boys' rugby team.
- Help organize and conduct practice sessions.
- Support the head coach during games and competitions.
- Foster a positive and inclusive team environment.
- Ensure player safety and adherence to rules.
Requirements
- Prior coaching experience in rugby or a related sport.
- First aid and CPR certification.
- Valid CT coaching certificate.
- Completion of Module 15 training on concussion management.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in coaching at the high school level.
- Knowledge of rugby rules and strategies.
Benefits
