About the position

The BP Program Manager at Medtronic will lead project development plans within a value stream, focusing on project management, risk assessment, and accountability for deliverables. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure timely project delivery and alignment with PMO governance. The ideal candidate will possess strong program management skills and the ability to communicate effectively under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Leads or leverages cross-functional teams to evaluate, develop, and manage projects for key business processes.
  • Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
  • Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.
  • Monitors the project from initiation through delivery.
  • Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
  • Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
  • Gathers requirements, works on requirements planning, requirements elicitation, and requirements management to ensure they meet demands of project's key stakeholders.
  • Communicates with stakeholders, obtains stakeholder engagement to ensure the end products or processes will solve the business problems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of business process/program management experience or an advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of business process/program management experience.
  • Strong program management skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and relationship skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with reporting, program and/or portfolio management/skills, and managing through risk mitigations.
  • Experience in project/program management in the medical industry and/or medical device industry.
  • PMP, PgPM, PfPM, Lean Six Sigma certifications.
  • Experience implementing or executing Operational Excellence strategy, new process, tools and program and/or portfolio dashboards.
  • Strong presentation skills, both delivery and development.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft tool suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, PowerApps, PowerBI, Project, Teams).
