About the position

Safety-Kleen is seeking a District Sales Manager for Bulk Product Services in the North East Region, covering NY, NJ, PA, and parts of MD. This role can be performed remotely or from a branch and requires travel. The District Sales Manager will manage a team of Account Managers and Blended Oil Specialists, focusing on growing and maintaining business in five main components of Bulk Product Services: Lubricant Sales, Used Motor Oil, Antifreeze, Waste Oil Fuel (WWF), and Waste Antifreeze. The position involves training the sales team, ensuring they have the necessary information and resources to achieve their goals, and holding each team member accountable for their activities and results. The District Sales Manager will conduct weekly team calls and individual one-on-one meetings with each team member to discuss goals, territory plans, and activities. Travel is required to accompany each team member at least once per quarter. The manager will oversee the team to ensure they meet their monthly and quarterly targets for new growth and budgeted quotas, while also pushing for new growth opportunities. Communication with service branches within the territory is essential to assist with inventory, delivery, and customer service, while collaborating with fellow District Sales Managers and the Director to meet and exceed sales growth initiatives. The manager will maintain daily awareness of direct report sales activities, conduct joint sales calls, and evaluate performance indicators to monitor progress toward goals.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of Account Managers and Blended Oil Specialists to grow and maintain business.
  • Conduct weekly team calls and individual one-on-one meetings with team members.
  • Ensure team members have the necessary resources to achieve their goals.
  • Hold team members accountable for their activities and results.
  • Travel to accompany each team member at least once per quarter.
  • Oversee the team to meet monthly and quarterly targets for new growth and budgeted quotas.
  • Communicate with service branches to assist with inventory, delivery, and customer service.
  • Collaborate with fellow District Sales Managers and the Director to meet sales growth initiatives.
  • Establish knowledge of competitive pricing, strategy, and market rates.
  • Maintain daily awareness of direct report sales activities and results.
  • Conduct performance evaluations of key performance indicators and statistics.
  • Promote communication and coordination between Sales, Operations, Customer Service, and Customers.
  • Oversee annual Sales Revenues Budget changes and ensure timely submission of expense reports.
  • Work with the Director to formulate and implement market strategies and business goals.
  • Develop business plans and priorities for targeting new cross-sell opportunities.
  • Complete regular ride-alongs with Account Managers and provide feedback.

Requirements

  • Less than High School education required.
  • Experience in sales management preferred but not mandatory.
