About the position

Eliot is seeking dedicated individuals to join a newly formed team focused on providing innovative support and services for adults with brain injuries. This unique opportunity allows team members to contribute to the development of programs that are person-centered and tailored to meet the individual needs of each participant. The services offered aim to enrich and enhance the lives of those we serve, ensuring they receive the restorative skill-building activities necessary for their growth and independence. Our Adult Day Services Program and Adult Residential Programs encompass a full spectrum of services designed to help individuals rebuild essential skills such as communication proficiency, social and behavioral skills, self-help abilities, and the management of daily life activities. Team members will play a crucial role in supporting individuals with a variety of medical, physical, cognitive, and socio-emotional needs, assisting them in completing daily activities and engaging in enriching experiences that promote skill building and independence. The position requires a commitment to being alert and responsive to the needs of individuals, providing support and training as outlined in their Individual Support Plans (I.S.P.). This may include assistance with personal care and hygiene, medication administration according to MAP regulations, and performing necessary housekeeping tasks. Team members will also be responsible for reporting maintenance and safety issues, as well as significant health, psychiatric, and behavioral concerns to the Program Manager. Participation in meetings and training sessions is also expected to ensure the highest quality of care and support for our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Be alert and responsive to the needs of individuals if required
  • Provide support and training in the areas identified within the I.S.P. to promote personal growth and accomplishment
  • Administer medication according to MAP regulations
  • Perform housekeeping tasks as necessary
  • Report all maintenance and safety issues to supervisor
  • Report significant health, psychiatric and behavioral issues to Program Manager
  • Attend and participate in meetings and trainings
  • Support individuals with a variety of medical, physical, cognitive, and socio-emotional needs in completing daily activities including but not limited to ADLs, laundry, meal preparation, cleaning, leisure activity, etc.
  • Actively engage individuals in enriching activities that promote skill building and independence.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • MA Driver's License
  • Experience with this population (minimum 6 months)
