About the position

Eliot is offering a unique opportunity to provide essential services for individuals with brain injuries. Our programs are designed to deliver person-centered, innovative supports and services tailored to meet the individual needs of each person we serve, ultimately enriching and enhancing their lives. We focus on providing an array of restorative skill-building activities and supports specifically for adults with Acquired Brain Injuries. Our Adult Day Services Program and Adult Residential Programs encompass a full spectrum of services aimed at rebuilding communication proficiency, social and behavioral skills, self-help abilities, and the management of daily life activities. In this role, you will be responsible for being alert and responsive to the needs of individuals, providing support and training in areas identified within the Individual Support Plan (I.S.P.) to promote personal growth and accomplishment. This may include assistance with personal care and hygiene as required. You will also administer medication in accordance with MAP regulations and perform necessary housekeeping tasks. Reporting all maintenance and safety issues to your supervisor, as well as significant health, psychiatric, and behavioral issues to the Program Manager, is crucial. Participation in meetings and training sessions is expected, as well as supporting individuals with a variety of medical, physical, cognitive, and socioemotional needs in completing daily activities, including but not limited to activities of daily living (ADLs), laundry, meal preparation, cleaning, and leisure activities. Actively engaging individuals in enriching activities that promote skill building and independence is a key aspect of this position.

Responsibilities

  • Be alert and responsive to the needs of individuals if required
  • Provide support and training in the areas identified within the I.S.P. to promote personal growth and accomplishment, which may include assistance with personal care and hygiene
  • Administer medication according to MAP regulations
  • Perform housekeeping tasks as necessary

  • Attend and participate in meetings and trainings
  • Support individuals with a variety of medical, physical, cognitive, and socioemotional needs in completing daily activities including but not limited to ADLs, laundry, meal preparation, cleaning, leisure activity, etc.
  • Actively engage individuals in enriching activities that promote skill building and independence.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or better
  • MA Driver's License
  • Experience with this population for at least 6 months

Nice-to-haves

  • Certified Nursing Assistant certification
  • Intermediate Computer Software Skills
  • Intermediate experience with administrative tasks
  • Advanced communication skills
