About The Position

The Brake Press Operator at Luxa Enterprises is responsible for setting up and operating press brake machines to fabricate metal parts, ensuring high-quality production through precise adjustments and monitoring of the forming process. This role requires reading blueprints, performing quality checks, and maintaining equipment to support operational efficiency.

Requirements

• High School diploma or Equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year experience in reading/interpreting blueprints.
• Experience programming CNC press brake with necessary parameters.
• Experience loading sheet metal into machine, initiating bend cycle and monitoring process.
• Ability to choose the appropriate tooling for each bending operation.
• Skill in identifying and resolving minor machine malfunctions or operation issues.
• Excellent mechanical aptitude and understanding of how press brake works.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate press brake machines to fabricate metal parts.
• Make adjustments to machines and actively monitor and adjust forming process to produce high quality parts.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine specifications.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to ensure accuracy in measurements.
• Perform quality checks on finished products using various measuring tools.
• Maintain equipment by performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
