Responsibilities

  • Provide expert technical guidance and oversight of the branch responsibilities.
  • Respond to external policy-related inquiries and requests.
  • Provide direction and support to staff, ensuring products are consistent with available guidance on timeliness, content, and quality.
  • Maintain current knowledge of procedures, policies, and directives, answering questions from employees.
  • Coordinate special projects requiring collaboration among various divisions within the Office.
  • Develop and implement improvements in handling aspects of day-to-day branch operations.
  • Serve as a change agent and lead staff in various transformation/innovative activities to implement efficiencies within the branch and division.
  • Oversee data and reports dealing with the budget and performance plans.
  • Develop and present recommendations to senior-level NRC management on a variety of policy, business, and administrative issues.

Requirements

  • At least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade in the Federal Service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
  • Knowledge in applying principles, theories, and practices of organizational and administrative management techniques, including human capital planning and strategic management.
