About the position
The Branch Engagement Banker at OceanFirst Bank is responsible for driving sales and providing exceptional customer service within the branch. This role involves engaging with customers, resolving issues, and promoting the bank's products and services, while also leading and guiding staff to achieve sales objectives in a competitive environment.
Responsibilities
- Drive sales and achieve sales objectives in a professional environment.
- Provide excellent customer service by researching and resolving customer issues.
- Serve as a point of escalation for customer inquiries and concerns.
- Lead and guide branch staff to enhance performance and customer engagement.
- Promote the migration of customers to the bank's digital channels.
- Utilize analytical skills to identify business opportunities and improve sales performance.
- Maintain a strong knowledge of bank products and services, including account openings.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Minimum of 2 years successful bank platform sales experience.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of bank products and services.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and banking software.
- Valid NMLS Registration required.
Nice-to-haves
- Teller-related experience preferred or 1-year prior cash handling.
- Leadership experience preferred.
