About the position

The Branch Manager at Sunbelt Rentals is responsible for overseeing the performance of a multi-million dollar revenue business unit, known as a Profit Center. This role involves leading all aspects of sales, customer service, fleet maintenance, and logistics, while achieving financial and performance goals. The Branch Manager is also tasked with operational and financial reporting functions, making it a pivotal role in the company's growth and success.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the overall performance of the branch, ensuring achievement of financial and performance goals.
  • Lead and develop a success-driven team to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Manage all aspects of sales, customer service, fleet maintenance, and logistics.
  • Coordinate operational and financial reporting functions for the branch.
  • Utilize leadership skills to foster a positive work environment and drive team performance.

Requirements

  • Business Management degree with at least 1 year of Rental Industry experience or 3-4 years of Rental Industry experience.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record history.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Understanding of P&L and other key financial controls.
  • Experience in outside sales or negotiation and influencing.
  • Experience in construction or industrial markets is helpful.
  • High level of accountability, time management, and willingness to learn all aspects of the business.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in operations management or sales management roles.
  • Familiarity with financial report writing.
