About the position

As a Branch Manager with Banner Bank, you will be responsible for managing the efficient daily operation of a branch office, which includes overseeing sales, operations, consumer and small business lending, and ensuring high levels of client service. Your role will involve developing new deposit and loan business while providing a superior level of client service. You will promote a sales and service culture through effective coaching, guidance, and motivation of staff, aiming to achieve both individual and branch sales goals through new business sales, referrals, and account retention. In this position, you will provide leadership, training, and supervision to branch personnel, delegating day-to-day operations effectively. You will also be responsible for attaining established bank and branch goals through active participation in the Banner Way Sales Management and Sales Management Systems programs. Engaging in community activities to enhance the bank's visibility and create new business opportunities will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will conduct regular observations and coaching sessions with the sales team to help develop new business, and perform outbound business calls to understand clients' current and future financial needs. Additionally, you will oversee the sales of various banking products, including Consumer and Business Credit cards, Account Analysis, and Treasury Management Services, while also managing Merchant Services. Driving the branch to perform at 100% during bank and division sales campaigns and conducting promotions to build momentum for core account growth will be essential to your success. Compliance with policies, procedures, security requirements, and government regulations is critical, and you will ensure that your staff adheres to these standards.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered).
  • NMLS registration required.
  • 4+ years of bank branch leadership and operations experience required.
  • 2+ years of experience in a supervisory/management role leading a project, process, or team required.
  • Advanced knowledge of retail product philosophy, policy, procedures, documentation, and systems.
  • Thorough knowledge of all retail products and services.
  • Considerable knowledge in all facets of the consumer lending process.
  • Proven client service, interpersonal, and relationship building skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills; proper phone and email etiquette required.
  • Effective selling, cross selling, and referral skills.
  • Demonstrated success in sales and business development.
  • Ability to develop and manage income and expense budgets; proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, problem solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to analyze client credit data and other related financial information.
  • Demonstrated ability to train employees in client service, sales, operations, product knowledge, and consumer loans.
  • In-depth knowledge of management and supervisory principles, policies, and legal requirements.
  • Demonstrated leadership, team building, and management skills.
  • Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations related to banking.
