About the position

The position involves providing leadership, training, and supervision to branch personnel, focusing on enhancing customer retention and developing new business opportunities. Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, training, and supervision to branch personnel.
  • Develop new deposit and loan business primarily from consumer relationships, including small business and non-profit channels.
  • Promote a sales and service culture through coaching and guidance.
  • Partner with the Head of Retail Banking and Multi-family Division Manager to achieve sales goals.
  • Host and participate in community events to enhance business opportunities.
  • Recruit and train branch employees to support client activity.
  • Delegate day-to-day operations to branch personnel.
  • Ensure audit compliance and recommend corrective actions.
  • Contribute to branch profitability through cost controls and marketing efforts.
  • Assist branch staff with opening deposit accounts and resolving deposit issues.
  • Oversee loan application processes and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Ensure branch security equipment is functional and staff is trained in safety procedures.
  • Maintain knowledge of financial industry trends and customer service standards.
  • Demonstrate adherence to EEO policies and promote a diverse workforce.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and internal policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and/or five years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of branch banking and operational functions, bank services and products, and related policies and procedures.
  • Advanced knowledge of state and federal banking compliance regulations.
  • Well-developed business management and relationship building skills.
  • Experience and knowledge in consumer and small business lending, underwriting activities, and terminology.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in training and supervising multiple employees across locations.
  • Ability to travel for business purposes at least 10% of the time.
