The position is responsible for overseeing consumer sales and customer service functions at a retail bank branch. The role includes directing and motivating a sales force, supervising daily activities of branch personnel, and ensuring the branch meets its sales and customer satisfaction goals. The site manager is also involved in personal banking duties and community engagement to promote bank services.

  • Responsible for sales management for the branch to accomplish sales results and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct sales meetings and training, and coach staff to encourage sales behavior and team cooperation.
  • Perform personal banking duties including advising customers of all bank services, opening new accounts, and accepting loan applications.
  • Assist in approving or denying personal banker's loans and monitor past due accounts and charge offs.
  • Supervise employees to meet branch goals by assigning work and conducting performance reviews.
  • Promote bank services by making outside calls to potential customers and participating in community activities.
  • Perform customer service duties such as answering inquiries, closing accounts, and ordering checks.
  • Ensure compliance of the branch with bank policies and guidelines.
  • Maintain positive interdepartmental interaction with other departments of the bank.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance, and work flexible hours, including weekends if necessary.
  • Full knowledge of personal and business banking products offered.
  • Basic knowledge of banking regulations and bank policies and procedures.
  • Experience in consumer credit underwriting and loan approval processes.
  • Effective supervisory skills with emphasis on sales and customer service practices.
  • Strong communication skills with clients and co-workers.
  • Proficient in operating computer terminals and banking equipment.
  • Ability to listen effectively to customers and make appropriate referrals.
  • High level of confidentiality and ability to train employees.
  • Ability to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and customer service to meet bank goals.
  • Demonstrated accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to function as a team player.
  • 4 - 6 years related banking experience preferred.
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred.
