About the position

The Sales Manager at RS Group is responsible for leading and motivating the sales team to achieve company goals. This role involves coaching team members, monitoring sales activities, and ensuring a high level of morale within the team. The Sales Manager will also develop strategies to meet sales targets, manage vendor relationships, and ensure a positive customer experience through effective communication and collaboration with corporate personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Coach and drive the sales team to meet company goals.
  • Motivate employees and maintain high morale through team-building strategies.
  • Monitor sales activity to ensure quality and quantity meet company expectations.
  • Support individual sales team members through training programs and productivity initiatives.
  • Identify areas for personal and career development among sales associates.
  • Promote and train employees on company policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and monitor sales plans addressing key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Manage vendor and representative relationships at the branch level.
  • Build relationships with corporate personnel and suppliers.
  • Conduct quarterly business plans with strategic suppliers.
  • Attract, hire, train, develop, and manage a sales team.
  • Create strategies to achieve annual sales budgets.
  • Ensure timely processing of customer orders.
  • Communicate regularly with employees regarding customers, markets, and competitors.
  • Promote RS Americas' five behaviors: working together, customer-focused, dynamic, high performance, and respect.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or equivalent experience.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a related business role.
  • Management training and experience managing people.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer-related skills.
  • Experience with SAP is a plus.
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM.
