About the position

The Branch Manager is responsible for providing exceptional member service through effective supervision of retail employees and overseeing day-to-day branch operations. This role involves developing employees, managing branch goals, ensuring compliance, and fostering community relationships to drive growth in membership, deposits, and loans.

Responsibilities

  • Develop effective employees through training, coaching, evaluating, motivating, and goal-setting.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the office, addressing questions, coaching employees, ensuring compliance to standards, and guaranteeing superior member service delivery.
  • Identify and establish goals in line with strategic initiatives focusing on membership, deposit, and loan growth.
  • Develop and carry out action steps for achieving branch goals.
  • Propose capital budget items annually.
  • Review and manage branch controlled expenses to ensure they are within budget and cost-effective.
  • Maintain working vendor relationships for branch operations.
  • Work with managers and other personnel to implement strategic initiatives for branch growth, including product promotions and community involvement.
  • Foster and maintain effective relationships with local law enforcement.
  • Prepare daily and monthly reports and conduct regular departmental meetings.
  • Perform Member Service duties as needed to serve members.
  • Assist Senior Management with special projects as needed.
  • Participate in community events as a representative of the organization.
  • Coordinate schedules to ensure sufficient coverage at all times.
  • Assist in the coordination of workflow with other departments.

Requirements

  • Five to eight years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.
  • A high school degree or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of modern office equipment and Credit Union operations, procedures, products, services, philosophies, practices, and systems.
  • Ability to speak with confidence and strategic thinking and planning capability.
  • Ability to develop, motivate, guide, and evaluate staff.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in community engagement and partnership development.
  • Familiarity with compliance training and regulations.
