About the position

The Branch Manager/Outside Sales Representative role is a hybrid position that combines the responsibilities of managing a branch and driving outside sales. This position is crucial for influencing operations, driving sales, and fostering strong client relationships while overseeing branch performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in exceeding sales targets, particularly in the oilfield industry.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of sales representatives to drive revenue growth
  • Split time 50/50 between field sales and branch management
  • Communicate directly with the Director of Sales and Operations/Inventory Manager regarding branch needs
  • Manage on-hand inventory and daily branch facility needs
  • Oversee the onsite inside sales team and warehouse employees
  • Actively seek out new customers while maintaining and growing the current customer base
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to expand market reach
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through strategic prospecting
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners
  • Oversee product demonstrations and presentations to potential clients
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals to achieve sales targets
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth

Requirements

  • Proven experience in sales management, preferably in the oilfield industry
  • Proven experience within inventory management
  • Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM software
  • Strong ability to analyze sales performance data and make strategic decisions
  • Excellent leadership skills with a focus on building a high-performing sales team
  • Demonstrated success in outside sales and key account management
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • In-depth knowledge of flow line sales products is essential
