The Branch Manager (BM) will report directly to the Director of Rentals and will oversee the operations of the rental location, which includes managing a team of 1 to 4 direct reports depending on the location. The BM is responsible for the direct oversight of all rental and counter sale operations, ensuring that operational processes align with strategic revenue growth objectives. This role encompasses a variety of responsibilities including inventory management, invoicing, collections, and staff development. The BM will have the opportunity to hire and motivate a team, fostering an environment of enthusiastic and informed customer service. The position requires building a profitable location through effective business and management skills, ambition, and a competitive spirit. Key activities include delivering revenue results that align with the strategic growth objectives and budget for the assigned location. The BM will prepare a yearly business plan in collaboration with the management team, forecasting revenues, expenses, fleet ROI, and overall branch growth. They will manage overall branch operations to ensure safety, productivity, customer service, and profitability, while overseeing all safety matters including audits and compliance with OSHA regulations. The BM will also maintain accurate rental contracts, inspection reports, and insurance certificates for all equipment on rent, and will be responsible for inventory control and reporting. The role requires exceptional communication skills, as the BM will complete monthly reports detailing the activities of the location and competition, and will develop strong relationships with various internal departments to facilitate rental needs. The BM will also leverage vendor relationships to provide cost-effective solutions for parts and services. This position demands the ability to multitask while delivering superior customer service in a fast-paced environment, utilizing analytical approaches to maximize profitability and minimize costs. The BM must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time and perform other duties as assigned.
