About the position

The Branch Manager for Freedom Forever's Michigan Branch is responsible for leading and organizing the branch operations team, ensuring the successful installation and servicing of residential solar projects. This role involves managing a team of installers and field personnel, overseeing project schedules, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. The Branch Manager will also work closely with other management roles to drive continuous improvement in operations and customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate installations of photovoltaic (PV) solar systems to ensure conformance to codes.
  • Manage, motivate, and mentor personnel involved in the installation and inspection of solar projects.
  • Evaluate and manage resources and processes for successful project completion.
  • Drive continuous improvement in Safety, Quality, Customer Service, and Productivity.
  • Ensure proper safety training and equipment for branch team members.
  • Assess potential solar installation sites for feasibility and design requirements.
  • Oversee scheduling of building inspections for solar installation projects.
  • Monitor subcontractors to ensure compliance with specifications, schedules, and budgets.
  • Provide technical assistance to installers and technicians in solar systems and related areas.
  • Prepare project proposals, quotes, budgets, and schedules for solar installations.
  • Estimate materials, equipment, and personnel needed for projects.
  • Identify means to reduce costs and increase efficiency in solar installation projects.
  • Ensure quality of work meets company standards and specifications.
  • Work closely with management to provide accurate installation forecasts and performance reporting.
  • Deliver excellent customer experience and escalate concerns as necessary.
  • Follow established safety programs for installations and audits.
  • Manage on-site facilities and perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Residential Builder License preferred.
  • Good computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with CRM and ERP systems is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills for vendor and supplier relationships.
  • Strong organizational skills and decision-making capabilities without constant supervision.
  • Ability to read and interpret job orders and specifications.
  • Wide range of carpentry skills required.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
