About the position

The Branch Manager at Northrim Bank is responsible for overseeing all branch activities to ensure that sales, customer service, and employee satisfaction goals are consistently met. This role involves significant relationship building and prospecting, as well as originating and closing consumer and small business loans. The Branch Manager will also focus on employee development and strategic planning to drive branch growth and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Direct service-quality efforts to ensure Superior Customer First Service standards.
  • Ensure timely and accurate daily transactions.
  • Direct account acquisition strategies within the branch to achieve assigned sales and retention goals.
  • Routinely accompany bank officers to make business development/retention calls.
  • Refer and sell products to fit customers' needs.
  • Originate and close consumer and small business loans.
  • Develop and support Branch Strategic Development plans for deposit and loan growth, customer satisfaction, and employee retention.
  • Encourage employee growth through one-on-one meetings, training, and mentoring.
  • Work with management to identify new product or software solutions to enhance customer service and sales performance.
  • Review and analyze monthly reports on customer retention and cross-sell ratios.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Six years of experience in customer service, cash handling, and sales, including five years in a financial institution and two years in management for Branch Manager I.
  • Seven years of experience in financial institution branch operation or loan origination for Branch Manager II, including three years in management and three years of outside calling experience.
  • State of Alaska Life Insurance License and FINRA Series 65 or 66 preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in community organization involvement.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
