About the position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Branch Network Management Trainee (SAFE) for the National Branch Network within the Consumer, Small and Business Banking division. This interim non-exempt position is designed for individuals who will undergo training to become Branch Managers. The role involves leading and developing a diverse team, enhancing customer engagement, and ensuring operational excellence while adhering to regulatory requirements. Successful candidates will transition into a Branch Manager role upon completion of the training program.

Responsibilities

  • Coach, develop and build a high performing team to execute on business strategies and drive growth.
  • Resolve low to moderately complex issues regarding customer and employee experience, risk, and business growth.
  • Identify opportunities for making banking easier for customers through education and demonstration of digital options.
  • Lead the branch while engaging stakeholders and building strong partnerships for a customer-centric experience.
  • Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of banking, financial services, or Branch Network experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • 2+ years of leadership experience.

  • Ability to build and inspire a team with adaptability, collaboration, and accountability to performance.
  • Ability to analyze performance and execute a plan that empowers employees to achieve business objectives.

  • Extensive experience in identifying complex financial needs to provide relevant options to customers.
  • Ability to lead a team to influence and educate customers about digital banking.
  • Knowledge of banking industry laws and regulations, compliance controls, and risk management.
