About the position

The Branch Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily sales and operations of the branch office, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations, and managing a team of Mortgage Loan Originators (MLOs). This role involves recruiting, training, and supervising staff, as well as developing business relationships to maximize production and minimize risk. The Branch Manager also plays a key role in marketing and promoting loan products, ensuring that all activities align with legal and ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day sales and operations of the branch office.
• Recruit and supervise Mortgage Loan Originators (MLOs).
• Develop and maintain a sales force to maximize branch production.
• Research and implement marketing strategies for the branch.
• Solicit and originate loans, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Negotiate loan interest rates with applicants.
• Ensure all documentation is prepared and maintained according to laws and company guidelines.
• Report any incidents or concerns regarding company operations.
• Manage branch office expenses and ensure timely payments.
• Ensure all employees are properly licensed and registered.
• Oversee advertising and marketing compliance with company guidelines.
• Ensure all communications are conducted through corporate channels.

Requirements

• Proven experience in mortgage banking or a related field.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local lending laws and regulations.
• Ability to develop and implement effective marketing strategies.
