About the position

The Branch Manager at M1 Support Services, LLC is responsible for overseeing all maintenance activities within the Sheppard Aircraft Maintenance Program. This role ensures compliance with the Performance Work Statement and Air Force Instructions while optimizing fleet readiness and operational excellence. The Branch Manager will manage personnel, interface with customers, and support business development efforts, all while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all maintenance activities in the T6, T38, or Equipment Maintenance Branches of the Sheppard Aircraft Maintenance Program.
  • Ensure compliance with the Performance Work Statement, Air Force Instructions, Technical Orders, and company policies.
  • Report to the Director of Maintenance.
  • Optimize fleet readiness and ensure operational excellence.
  • Direct and supervise branch activities to achieve high performance and success.
  • Ensure personnel receive necessary training and instructions for their duties.
  • Interface with internal and external customers and higher headquarters.
  • Execute the contract in a safe and efficient manner acceptable to the Government.
  • Provide guidance on workforce management including hiring, termination, transfer, evaluation, training, and disciplinary actions.
  • Attend applicable meetings as required.
  • Direct, plan, coordinate, control, and evaluate operations and personnel.
  • Support company business development efforts as needed.
  • Represent the company professionally in terms of attire, business courtesies, ethics, and customer culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's/Associate's Degree in an associated discipline is desired; High School diploma required.
  • Thorough understanding of USAF aircraft maintenance processes required.
  • Minimum 10 years of related experience in an aircraft and maintenance support environment, including 6 years in a managerial capacity.
  • Understanding of quality control procedures is essential.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills are required.
  • Working knowledge of computers and basic software programs such as Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Must speak, read, write, and understand English.
  • Obtain/maintain security clearance.
  • Current valid U.S. Driver's License.

  • Experience in a military or defense contracting environment.
  • Additional certifications related to aircraft maintenance or management.
