About the position

The Branch Manager at Waddell Power - East Penn/Deka Batteries is responsible for overseeing warehouse operations, managing personnel, and driving sales growth while controlling expenses. This role involves direct involvement in hiring, developing the sales team, and ensuring a safe and productive work environment. The Branch Manager is committed to achieving corporate objectives and fostering a culture aligned with East Penn's values.

Responsibilities

  • Manage sales, service technicians, support staffing, and warehouse operations to achieve maximum efficiencies.
  • Direct staff of sales personnel to meet sales goals and objectives.
  • Develop and coach the sales team while building strong customer relationships.
  • Attend customer events and conduct training sessions for employees and customers.
  • Review and understand all National and OEM Account program details.
  • Ensure compliance with Salesforce and expense reporting by the Sales Team.
  • Conduct weekly/bi-weekly sales review meetings and quarterly sales meetings.
  • Maximize P&L results and develop annual business plans.
  • Resolve customer issues and maintain outstanding customer relations.
  • Submit required reports to the Director in a timely manner.
  • Establish and manage a safe and efficient operational staff and review branch expenses.
  • Ensure compliance with government rules, OSHA guidelines, and company regulations.
  • Complete monthly OSHA checklists and participate in inventory management.
  • Set goals and standards for sales and operations teams to improve overall organization performance.
  • Cultivate a positive work environment and support East Penn's open-door policy.

Requirements

  • 3 - 5 years of sales experience.
  • Strong financial understanding, including managing P&L and costing.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented with problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to multitask effectively and maintain a professional appearance and attitude.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and company-issued IT equipment.
  • Public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented with conflict management skills.
