About the position

The Branch Manager at Riverview Bank is responsible for the overall management of a retail branch, focusing on increasing profitability and generating loan and deposit growth. This role involves representing the bank professionally in the community, implementing marketing strategies, and fostering relationships with customers and local businesses. The position requires strong leadership and the ability to develop and maintain a competitive edge in the regional market.

Responsibilities

  • Increase branch profitability and generate loan and deposit growth through business development and marketing efforts.
  • Contribute to the development of products and services to maintain a competitive position in the regional market.
  • Develop Riverview's visibility and customer base through ongoing social interaction and community involvement.
  • Promote a favorable image of Riverview in all business activities within the community.
  • Call on and correspond with local business owners and managers to generate business sufficient to meet the branch's assigned goals.
  • Establish and provide direction to help attain internal performance objectives for the branch office business volume, deposits, loan portfolio, and quality of audit reports.
  • Participate in and complete training objectives with passing scores.
  • Facilitate training objectives, including time allotment and coordination of electives.
  • Monitor and assess staff training regularly and in a timely manner.
  • Assist in company-wide programs and presentations as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
  • Five or more years of related experience and/or training for Branch Manager II, or ten or more years for Branch Manager III.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and the general public.
  • Basic knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Office products.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in retail banking management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and percentages.
