About the position

The Branch Member Financial Services Representative II is responsible for providing a variety of financial services to members, including processing transactions, answering inquiries, and cross-selling products. This role requires balancing daily transactions, maintaining account accuracy, and ensuring compliance with credit union policies. The representative also assists in training new staff and may step in for branch management when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashier's checks, and cash advances for members in person.
  • Balance daily transactions and verify cash totals.
  • Answer member questions regarding OURCU services and perform account maintenance duties.
  • Cross-sell OURCU products and services to members.
  • Perform complex member service representative functions as needed.
  • Ensure efficient and accurate performance of teller functions.
  • Monitor deposit amounts and examine documents for endorsement and negotiability.
  • Detect and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Assist with customer services including opening/closing shared certificates and maintaining safe deposit boxes.
  • Process credit card and loan applications, and manage outgoing wires.
  • Ensure compliance with OURCU policies and procedures during lending operations.
  • Maintain privacy of member account information and uphold OURCU's reputation.
  • Provide guidance and training to MSR 1 staff as needed.
  • Complete required reports and records accurately and promptly.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Two to five years of similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatory positions.
  • Valid Certified Notary Public license preferred.
