About the position

The Branch Operations Internship at Republic Finance offers college students a hands-on opportunity to learn about the daily functions and operations of a branch within a leading consumer lending company. Interns will gain real-world experience by working alongside team members and leaders, engaging in various aspects of branch operations, including sales, customer service, compliance training, and loan processing. The program aims to expand on academic concepts while providing insights into potential career paths within the organization, with the goal of full-time employment post-graduation.

Responsibilities

  • Become licensed and participate in an accelerated version of the Assistant Branch Manager Program to learn the loan process and necessary regulatory training.
  • Assist in daily production of loan origination, processing, closings, and fundings, including allocating files for document preparation and auditing closed files.
  • Spend time with the Manager and Regional Vice President to understand their responsibilities and the promotional path within the company.
  • Attend regional meetings and workshops to gain exposure to the larger Branch Operations division.
  • Learn about one or more Branch Operations process improvement projects based on current initiatives during the internship.
  • Explore corporate roles where Branch backgrounds are desired, such as Audit, Compliance, Training, and Recruiting.

Requirements

  • Must be a Junior or Senior majoring in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Ideal candidates should be eager to learn, enthusiastic, reliable, and possess a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work a minimum of 18-20 hours per week.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills are required.
  • Must meet acceptable standards for criminal background history and credit history, and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Ability to meet eligibility requirements for insurance licensing to sell voluntary insurance products.
