About the position

The Branch Operations Lead plays a crucial role in assisting Branch Operations Management by overseeing daily warehouse operations. This position involves direct supervision of warehouse associates, ensuring compliance with company policies, and maintaining a customer service-oriented environment. The Lead will also engage in training and development of team members while managing workflow and safety procedures within the branch.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise five or more associates in warehouse and delivery operations.
  • Support teammates in their training opportunities and ensure immediate application to daily work.
  • Coordinate warehouse activities with the Assistant Manager and/or Manager.
  • Assist in learning all functions of Branch Management, including operations, staffing, and budgeting.
  • Maintain daily workflow for delivery orders and assist associates during peak business hours.
  • Ensure replenishment orders and returned merchandise are processed according to company standards.
  • Participate in planning personnel safety and training activities.
  • Ensure safety procedures are followed and make recommendations regarding safety improvements.
  • Review and follow branch procedures, serving as a role model for compliance.
  • Report violations of policies and safety concerns to management.
  • Maintain a customer service-oriented philosophy in all conduct of self and teammates.
  • Ensure operations procedures are followed for incoming and outgoing shipments and inventory management.
  • Inform management of the physical condition of the warehouse and equipment.
  • Deliver products and equipment to customers using a company vehicle.

Requirements

  • Previous warehouse experience, including leading or planning the work of other teammates.
  • Must meet all applicable state-specific driver's license requirements for driving a company vehicle.
  • Demonstrated self-starter and motivated individual willing to learn new skills.
  • Strong organizational, supervisory, and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
