About the position

The Branch Operations Manager II is responsible for overseeing the success of branch operations at WillScot. This role includes managing safety, controlling costs, and ensuring efficient inventory management while maintaining high customer satisfaction. The manager will lead a team of operational employees and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect managerial oversight to branch operational employees including Production Supervisors, Shop/Yard Labor, Field Service, Dispatchers, Drivers, and Branch Coordinator.
• Manage daily assignments and tasks for temporary workers and contractors as appropriate.
• Utilize internal systems for safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery of revenue activities.
• Oversee cost management through maintenance, inventory, and servicing of the fleet.
• Ensure timely and accurate work order and inventory compliance.
• Collaborate with HR to manage and develop the branch workforce, including recruiting and training strategies.
• Conduct fleet physical inventory counts and ensure accurate work orders for idle fleet.
• Utilize Net Promoter Score (NPS) feedback to identify process improvement opportunities.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or 3 years of applicable experience.
• 5 years of experience managing direct reports in a service shop/manufacturing/building construction environment, or 2 years with WillScot.
• Experience managing a unit or departmental budget, or 2 years with WillScot.
• Proficiency in MS Office/Excel/Word/Outlook.
• Ability to follow direction and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in problem-solving and building relationships with vendors.
