About the position

The Branch Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the branch, ensuring excellent service delivery to members, and maintaining compliance with financial practices and regulations. This role requires strong leadership skills, the ability to analyze and troubleshoot operational issues, and effective communication with both staff and management.

Responsibilities

  • Promote 'SCOPE' to employees, management, and members.
  • Oversee the delivery of excellent service to the Credit Union's members.
  • Analyze situations, identify problems, and evaluate alternative courses of action.
  • Communicate with the VP of Branch Operations regarding new developments or problems.
  • Troubleshoot issues in the Operations areas of the Credit Union.
  • Report procedural or personal issues to the VP of Branch Operations.
  • Maintain a favorable working relationship with all Credit Union employees.
  • Handle escalated issues with members.
  • Oversee time approvals including timesheets and daily Operations scheduling.
  • Process overrides for the Operations department and ensure correct processing.
  • Encourage staff to cross-sell underutilized services.
  • Audit and analyze a variety of reports.
  • Maintain branch facilities, both interior and exterior.
  • Ensure branch employees have appropriate resources.
  • Stay aware of community activities and keep employees involved.
  • Serve as backup to any Operations Representative and Operations Specialist as needed.
  • Ensure bulletin board is updated as needed.
  • Follow security measures enforced by regulations and policies.
  • Adhere to confidentiality procedures to keep member information confidential.
  • Use DocuSign for prompt delivery of lending and account documents to members.
  • Ensure all safety procedures are followed.
  • May be required to travel between and/or work in various offices as needed.
  • Perform cash transactions and balance the cash drawer at the end of the day.
  • Research any drawer outages and notify supervisor of unresolved issues.
  • Complete required annual training and adhere to all Credit Union policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of financial practices, procedures, and standards in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  • Understanding of personnel principles and practices.
  • Up-to-date knowledge in all areas of the Operations Department.
