About the position

The Branch Operations Manager at LGG Industrial is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the branch, ensuring efficient and customized operations while maintaining a strong focus on safety and customer satisfaction. This role involves coordinating with various departments, managing personnel, and ensuring compliance with company and government mandates. The manager aims to achieve on-time delivery and support the organization's goals in a cost-effective manner.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain 100% commitment to safety policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate cross-departmental communication and activities including purchasing, safety, quality, customer service, sales, and field service.
  • Manage personnel for efficiency and error reduction, ensuring on-time delivery to customer expectations.
  • Monitor and manage inventory to meet working capital requirements and maximize turns while keeping customer delivery commitments.
  • Achieve and maintain maximum customer satisfaction ratings and approval standards.
  • Ensure proper staffing levels within each department, set goals for employees, evaluate and review personnel, and motivate staff.
  • Monitor business systems and requirements to meet LGG Industrial quality standards.
  • Oversee employee training requirements to ensure proper performance and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with company, customer, and government mandates related to personnel, safety, and security policies.
  • Manage RMAs related to the warehouse.
  • Ensure fleet compliance with DOT regulations and maintain company vehicles.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of related warehousing or production experience.
  • 2-3 years of management or supervisory experience.
  • College degree in Business Administration or Industrial Distribution preferred; equivalent degrees considered.
  • In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 7-10 years management experience in an industrial distribution setting is acceptable.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends as required.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs independently on a repeated basis.
  • Ability to move throughout the facility during the full workday.
  • Ability to comprehend work instructions and safety procedures, both written and verbally.
  • Ability to count and measure accurately.
  • Ability to safely use mechanical equipment and hand tools.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with lean six sigma methodologies.
  • Business acumen and understanding of P&L.
