About The Position

The Branch Sales Associate at Grainger is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and solutions to walk-in customers. This role involves maximizing sales opportunities, creating customer loyalty, and performing various warehouse tasks. The associate will manage the entire customer experience, from product selection to order entry and loading products into customer vehicles, while ensuring compliance with safety guidelines.

Requirements

• Bilingual communication skills.
• Flexibility to work any time within branch hours of operation.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and heavier loads with assistance.
• Willingness to learn and operate powered industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the entire customer experience including product selection and order entry.
• Safely pick and load products for customer vehicles.
• Maximize sales opportunities and encourage customer loyalty.
• Adapt communication style to different audiences in various formats.
• Pick, prepare, and stage will call orders and shipping products.
• Prepare customer backorders and manage stock received.
• Assist with merchandising and showroom replenishment.
• Perform inventory counts and maintain branch appearance.
• Learn and navigate different computer systems for customer and warehouse activities.
• Perform housekeeping tasks to meet Grainger standards.
