Carrier Enterprise, a leading national distributor of residential and light commercial HVAC products, is seeking a dedicated Branch Sales Associate for our Chattanooga, TN location. In the Branch Sales Associate role, you will be the face of our branch, providing exceptional customer service, product knowledge, and support to HVAC/R professionals and contractors who visit our location. This position is eligible for performance-based bonuses and incentives.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding the right HVAC/R products and supplies for their needs.
- Accurately process customer orders, ensuring that all requested items are available, properly priced, and invoiced correctly.
- Maintain a deep understanding of our HVAC/R product inventory, including specifications, compatibility, and pricing.
- Monitor and replenish stock levels on the sales floor.
- Assist customers in troubleshooting and finding solutions to technical issues related to HVAC/R equipment and components.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized counter area.
- Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation for customer transactions, including invoices, returns, and warranty claims.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in HVAC/R or a related industry.
- Knowledge of HVAC/R products, equipment, and components preferred but not required.
- Excellent customer service skills, including active listening and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using computerized sales and inventory management systems.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a team-oriented mindset.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds of merchandise.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to bend, stoop, and reach to access products and supplies.
