About the position
Wells Fargo is seeking a Branch Small Business Banker (SAFE) to act as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of small business customers. This role involves building and maintaining relationships with customers, understanding their financial needs, and providing tailored banking solutions. The banker will engage with customers throughout their business life cycle, manage risks, and ensure compliance with banking regulations.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of small business customers with annual gross sales between $100k and $1MM.
- Build and grow relationships with new and existing customers through proactive outreach and in-person visits.
- Participate in community organizations and build relationships with centers of influence.
- Create relationships with branch employees to help meet customers' broader financial needs.
- Engage with customers in all phases of the business life cycle, identifying their credit, deposit, and servicing needs.
- Manage risks in the business and ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
Requirements
- 2+ years of branch small business banking experience or equivalent work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- 1+ year of experience managing a dedicated book of small business customers across an assigned territory.
- Knowledge of bank lending programs, credit policies, and specialty products.
- Customer service focus with experience handling complex transactions across multiple systems.
- Experience building and maintaining effective relationships with customers and internal partners.
- Ability to educate customers on technology and mobile banking options.
