About the position

The Brand Ambassador at Saks Fifth Avenue is a sales associate responsible for driving business through expertise in a specific vendor line. This role involves representing the brand, providing product training and education to other associates, and engaging in advanced client and business development to enhance sales. The Brand Ambassador acts as the face of the brand, ensuring a high level of customer service and technical knowledge of the products.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales for the brand in a specific category.
  • Develop and execute strategies to drive overall sales for the brand.
  • Acquire new clients and expand existing client sales to meet or exceed individual sales goals.
  • Strategically develop plans in partnership with leadership to support the Local Business Development Plan.
  • Execute category strategies for the brand developed by the Brand Manager or GM.
  • Demonstrate expertise in customer base by having knowledge of top customers.
  • Coordinate special orders, reserves, and product movement between stores to fulfill customer requests.
  • Reinforce shortage awareness and adherence to SOP for overall profitability.
  • Coordinate department efforts to maximize special events and trunk show focus days.
  • Develop partnerships with Fifth Avenue Club consultants and other Store Associates to promote the line and increase intersell.
  • Educate and train SFA Associates on the technical aspects of the products.
  • Provide feedback to corporate buying office and vendor regarding specific needs and opportunities.
  • Act as a liaison between department and vendor representatives.
  • Share technical product knowledge to educate customers on product characteristics.
  • Exhibit the highest customer service standards as a role model for Sales Associates.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of selling experience in a similar product category.
  • Excellent selling and client building skills.
  • Basic math skills to interpret reports and develop selling strategies.
  • Training skills to educate others on product knowledge.
