About the position

Steve Brown Apartments is seeking dynamic and enthusiastic Brand Ambassadors for the UW-Madison campus area. In this role, you will be responsible for promoting our apartment communities, engaging with potential residents, and fostering positive relationships within the local community. As a Brand Ambassador, you will act as the face and voice of Steve Brown Apartments at various events on the UW Madison Campus, including BadgerFest on the first day of classes and the Homecoming Block Party. This position offers a unique opportunity to connect with students and the community while representing our brand. Your responsibilities will also include developing and executing high-quality, engaging social media content in collaboration with our marketing team. This aspect of the role is crucial as it allows you to creatively promote our brand both in person and online. The ideal candidates for this position are self-starters who are well-spoken, outgoing, genuine, and motivated by results. Excellent communication skills are essential, as you will be interacting with a diverse audience. To succeed in this role, you should have at least one year of experience in marketing, sales, or customer service, particularly in high-demand environments such as retail, restaurant, or hospitality. A high school diploma is required, along with the availability to attend required in-person events. This is an hourly paid position at $15 per hour, with an additional $15 for each social media post submitted. You will be expected to submit weekly social posts and attend in-person tabling events, which will require planning for 4-6 hours for each event, including setup and teardown. The job is set to start at the end of August 2024 and will continue through May 2025, with breaks during the UW winter and spring breaks. Required event dates include specific days in September and October, with more events scheduled throughout the year.
