About the position

This position is for a Seasonal Retail Sales Associate at ROYCE' Confect USA, a company committed to providing equal employment opportunities. The role requires the ability to work in a retail boutique setting while adhering to safety protocols due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, including wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as face masks and gloves. The primary focus of this position is to assist customers, prepare orders for delivery pick-ups, and provide information about the brand and products, including allergens and shopping options. Sales associates will also maintain the cleanliness of the boutique and assist managers with various tasks, including organizing product deliveries and checking inventory and cash sales as needed. Sales associates are expected to drive results by observing inventory movement and communicating with supervisors about potential improvements in sales and marketing strategies. Excellent customer service is crucial, as associates will work closely with managers to resolve customer disputes and complaints. A positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role. Additionally, associates must ensure that the selling floor is organized and visually appealing, checking for any broken displays or damaged goods. The role involves regular physical tasks, including organizing store deliveries, offering in-store chocolate samples to customers, and managing inventory by counting merchandise and sending daily reports to management. Associates are responsible for maintaining cleanliness in the store, which includes vacuuming, mopping, and dusting. They will also monitor the use of boutique supplies and ensure that the store is adequately stocked. Cash management is another key responsibility, as associates will process cash and credit card transactions. Ideal candidates will have 1 to 5 years of retail experience, preferably in food, and must be flexible with their work schedule, including the ability to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers and prepare orders for delivery pick-ups.

  • Process cash and credit card sales transactions.

Requirements

  • 1 to 5 years of experience in retail, preferably with food.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility in work schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to lift and carry boxes weighing up to 25 lbs.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in food retail is an advantage.
