About the position

New England Smart Energy is seeking an energetic and outgoing Brand Ambassador to join our Marketing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to begin your career in a growing industry and earn between $25 to $35 per hour, with on-target earnings ranging from $55,000 to $65,000. As a Brand Ambassador, you will have the chance to improve your event marketing skills while having fun and engaging with the community. You will be part of a trusted Energize Connecticut partner, helping Connecticut neighbors save energy and money at home. This role is not just about marketing; it’s about making a difference in the community by promoting energy efficiency and sustainability. In this position, you will work at various events, trade shows, and retail locations, where you will be responsible for scheduling qualified leads for home energy assessments. You will execute team strategies to build excitement about the Home Energy Assessment process among prospective residents. Your role will also involve acquiring and retaining industry knowledge, which you will train to other employees, ensuring that the team is well-informed and effective in their outreach efforts. Representing New England Smart Energy with professionalism and integrity is paramount, as you will be the face of the brand in the community. Additionally, you will be expected to meet and exceed lead generation goals, which will require you to keep your canvassing supervisor updated on individual and team performance. The position may also involve commuting to various locations along the shoreline of southwestern Connecticut and sometimes north to Waterbury, depending on event schedules. Flexibility in working hours is essential, as you may need to work some weekends and evenings. Responsibilities

  • Work a table at assigned events, trade shows and retail locations to schedule qualified leads
  • Schedule Connecticut residents for no cost home energy assessments
  • Execute team strategy to build excitement about the Home Energy Assessment process to prospective residents
  • Acquire, retain and constantly develop industry knowledge and train the material to employees
  • Represent New England Smart Energy and its brand with professionalism and integrity
  • Meet and exceed our lead generation goals
  • Sometimes commuting team to and from workplaces
  • Additional administrative duties as assigned - must be able liaison between police departments and New England Smart Energy

Requirements

  • Outstanding communication and people skills
  • Ability to motivate and lead a team
  • Keeping canvassing supervisor updated on individual and team goals
  • Interest in energy efficiency and the environment
  • Ability to commute along the shoreline of southwestern CT and sometimes north to Waterbury
  • Must be able to work between scheduled hours of 9 am - 7 pm depending on team availability
