About the position

The Brand & Category Strategy Associate Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and analyzing various brand, marketing, and business initiatives at Reser's Fine Foods. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, conducting market research, and developing strategies to enhance brand performance across multiple categories. The position requires strong project management skills and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders to support marketing efforts and achieve business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the brand marketing manager/director in developing and executing marketing plans and brand/marketing initiatives across multiple categories.
  • Lead cross-functional teams, including external agencies, on brand and category projects.
  • Research and analyze consumer data to monitor product, brand, promotional performance, and market trends.
  • Assist in the development of new product ideas and product improvements.
  • Generate relevant category performance metrics, identifying opportunities and making recommendations to ensure goals are reached consistently.
  • Communicate brand direction to the Communication team to support social media efforts for category-specific products, brand campaigns, and retailer programs.
  • Develop strategies, analyses, and recommendations for executing pricing actions.
  • Coordinate with the Trade marketing team on customer and channel specific projects.
  • Analyze industry and category trends and provide competitive analyses.
  • Proof and coordinate new branded packaging projects.
  • Provide support for corporate and industry events.
  • Prepare and conduct internal and external presentations, as needed.
  • Manage budget - tracking, reconciliation, and reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field is required; MBA is preferred.
  • 5-10 years of experience in Marketing required; consumer packaged goods industry is preferred.
  • Strong PC skills, including proficiency in MS Office.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Strong communication skills are required.
  • Ability to take initiative, to work well both autonomously and as part of a team.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior project management experience is preferred.
  • Circana/Nielsen experience is preferred.
