About the position

The Brand Governance Manager at Lumen is responsible for ensuring a consistent brand experience across all customer interactions. This role involves managing brand and legal approvals, conducting brand reviews, and training employees and external partners on brand usage. The manager will collaborate with various internal teams to maintain brand integrity and facilitate the seamless integration of brand elements across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Review external and company-wide internal assets for brand compliance, including visual identity, voice, color palette, brand elements.
  • Develop the understanding and embedding of the brand and identity across the business with Creative Operations, Campaigns team, Legal and others to ensure the work stream is seamless and any technical issues are resolved quickly.
  • Conduct naming brand reviews, and others, as needed.
  • Conduct training sessions, answer questions, and manage conversations with internal stakeholders and external partners around the use of the identity.
  • Facilitate routing of Brand and Legal reviews through Adobe Workfront and manage timely URL delivery, to ensure compliance with brand & legal standards.
  • Train new users on Workfront Brand & Legal review submission process.
  • Manage third party logo usage process.
  • Manage the resizing of logos and icons per client requests.
  • Manage Lumen brand store orders, helping to facilitate executive orders as needed.
  • Perform other brand duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual communication, brand management or similar.
  • 3-4 years experience of brand management design in an in-house or agency role.
  • Demonstratable understanding of the role visual and verbal identity plays in building brands.
  • Understanding and appreciation of the creative and design process with the ability to articulate constructive feedback concisely, and direction clearly.
  • Experience creating, managing, and delivering brand and design assets, guidelines, and training content.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with experience influencing internal and external stakeholders.
  • Good project and agency management skills, including writing and delivering briefs, clarifying objectives, evaluating outcomes against the brief, reporting, and delivering work on time and within budget.
  • Working knowledge of brand management and/or marketing operations software (e.g. Adobe Workfront).
  • Experience working in a matrixed organization, fostering positive relationships and alignment across departments.
