Responsibilities

  • Directly manage categories: Entertaining (COLUMBUS, GATHERINGS), Deli meats (NATURAL CHOICE, BREAD READY), Retail Refrigerated (ribs, bacon, sliced meats, and pepperoni).
  • Drive brand awareness and preference through execution of brand strategies and initiatives.
  • Support senior brand manager to reach divisional financial objectives and goals.
  • Gather market and industry understanding of trends, preferences, and behaviors.
  • Run internal and external reports to evaluate brand commercial initiatives.
  • Provide reports and analyses to evaluate category and product mix health.
  • Coordinate and support activations of marketing programs with agencies.
  • Assist in the creation of commercial materials for offline and online campaigns.
  • Maintain and update DAM & PIM for HFIC unique products.
  • Support maintenance and update of new products information in Compass.
  • Coordinate cost reduction projects with external vendors and agencies.
  • Contribute to consistent communication with Hormel Foods Corporation teams.
  • Identify and communicate competitive issues, opportunities, and trends.
  • Provide assistance creating launch and training materials for new products.
  • Coordinate samples between vendors and countries.
  • Assist in proper price positioning based on value proposition and margin targets.

Requirements

  • 3+ years related marketing experience or 3+ years retail sales experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or equivalent; MBA is a plus.
  • Good foundation and understanding of core marketing and sales principles.
  • Breakthrough thinking and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Values diversity and is adaptable to working in a variety of cultural settings.
  • Creativity, persuasiveness, and highly determined.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; other language is a plus.
  • Computer proficiency, data entry, and digital marketing knowledge.
  • Ability to handle different projects simultaneously and manage deadlines.
  • Strong team player and highly adaptable to change.
  • Customer focus and understanding of their needs.
  • Demonstrates understanding of how organizations achieve profitability targets.
  • Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States.
