About the position

The SEO Manager for Petcare plays a crucial role in the Portfolio Strategy & Activation team, focusing on executing the SEO strategy for the Petcare Network. This hybrid position requires collaboration with various teams to enhance SEO performance through research, technical improvements, and effective communication. The role demands a detail-oriented, self-starting individual who can creatively solve problems and drive continuous improvements in SEO practices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct SEO research and competitor analysis to suggest improvements.
• Improve technical SEO performance by recommending fixes to the development team and tracking progress.
• Optimize on-page SEO by working with the development team and CMS to enhance page speed, keywords, and metadata.
• Execute off-page SEO strategies, including white-hat link building and digital PR.
• Perform monthly tracking of key programs and metrics, updating presentations with current data and insights.
• Manage SEO-related projects, collaborating across teams to gather information and establish agile workflows.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues to explain technical SEO concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Marketing, Technology, or a related field.
• 6+ years of SEO experience with a mixed technical and content focus.
• Experience with Content Management Systems and SEO tools such as SEMRush, Google Analytics, and Search Console.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams).
• Intermediate knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and UX.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience in the animal health industry or pharmaceuticals (in-house or agency).
• A track record of SEO success with tangible metrics to show improvements.
• Staying up to date on SEO trends, algorithm updates, and best practices.
