About the position

The Marketing Manager at DTLR is responsible for developing and managing all marketing functions in alignment with the organization's marketing and communications plan. This role is crucial for ensuring that the products and services resonate with current and potential customers, while also overseeing the marketing staff and activities to enhance customer experience in DTLR stores.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate the marketing staff and activities
  • Identify and develop marketing plans with internal vendors
  • Manage the productivity of the marketing plan and projects
  • Monitor, review, and report on all marketing activities and results
  • Deliver marketing activity within the agreed budget
  • Manage the execution of store-level promotions
  • Assist with the creation and execution of exciting new promotions to appeal to the target customer
  • Manage the CO-OP program by identifying and developing marketing plans with internal vendors and meeting or exceeding the expected annual revenue goals
  • Maintain and submit monthly CO-OP invoices and reports outlining program performances
  • Maintain marketing promotions book and assist with the development of all marketing materials, annual reports, advertisements, and other related material
  • Work closely with the Web Manager to ensure website messaging is consistent with overall marketing and communication objectives
  • Work with graphic designers, videographers and other vendors to coordinate the development of all creative work
  • Contribute to the total effectiveness of the department, communicating openly, solving problems proactively, offering creative ideas, and working as a positive, engaged team member
  • Provide monthly reporting to the Marketing Director, including but not limited to reporting on the status of prioritized marketing and communication activities
  • Manage all aspects of print production, receipt, and distribution
  • Create and update DTLR Radio digital marketing strategies that will support the organization to achieve its aims as part of the overall marketing activities and plans
  • Review new technologies and keep DTLR Radio at the forefront of developments in digital marketing, including the DTLR Radio App
  • Use appropriate analytics to measure, evaluate, and report against goals and performance of all DTLR Radio digital marketing activities and plans
  • Lead the development of the DTLR Radio website, devising strategies to drive viewership, sales, improve usability, design, content, and conversation
  • Lead the development and scheduling of DTLR Radio communications and advertisements on all social platforms and social media
  • Develop and manage DTLR Radio digital marketing campaigns across multiple channels utilizing tools and techniques as appropriate, including e-mail marketing, paid search, SEO and PPC
  • Work with the Marketing & Community Outreach team to create high-quality content for a range of online platforms, which is optimized with brand tone and voice
  • Schedule, organize, and traffic all Marketing and community outreach events on all social platforms including working with existing subcontractors
  • Work closely with DTLR Radio Artist Director to create decks and or written communications for all DTLR Radio initiatives and artist-related items
  • Create/Curate Playlist on DTLR Digital Platforms
  • Create DTLR Radio Events Recaps and update and manage DTLR Radio App

Requirements

  • BS degree in marketing or 4 years of marketing and/or communications experience
  • Extensive experience in developing and maintaining marketing strategies to meet organizational objectives
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, coupled with highly developed interpersonal skills
  • Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to multi-task and set priorities within tight timelines and high client expectations
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Must be outgoing and passionate about the urban environment in which it is marketed
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, plan, and organize effectively
  • Excellent customer service skills in person, on the phone, and in writing
  • Comfortable with team-based work structure and, when needed, the ability to work independently
  • Demonstrate flexibility on the job and the ability to adapt quickly and react to business needs and change
  • Proven ability to work independently and remotely
  • Detail-oriented, acute attention to detail, and excellent time management with a strong sense of urgency
  • Ability to maintain an exemplary degree of professionalism in all situations
  • Demonstrated leadership and decision-making skills
