About the position

The Oncology Marketing Director will spearhead marketing launch initiatives for oncology biosimilar products, focusing on key stakeholders in the US biosimilar ecosystem, including healthcare professionals, payers, and patients. This role is pivotal in developing integrated marketing programs that enhance brand visibility, drive market access, and promote adoption among patients and healthcare providers. Operating in a dynamic, start-up-like environment, the director will act as a brand strategist, tactical executor, and collaborator, ensuring effective communication with medical and pharmacy benefit managers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing launch strategies for biosimilar products targeting HCPs, payers, and patients.
  • Create differentiated value propositions for biosimilar brands to ensure effective positioning among healthcare professionals and pharmacy decision-makers.
  • Provide thought leadership to influence internal stakeholders on biosimilar brand management.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to align marketing strategies with sales goals and support in-field activities.
  • Design and implement payer engagement programs to drive formulary inclusion and reimbursement approvals.
  • Partner with patient advocacy groups to raise awareness of biosimilars and foster patient acceptance.
  • Track and measure the effectiveness of marketing programs, making data-driven adjustments to optimize results.
  • Continuously analyze market trends and competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions.
  • Manage a team of agency partners to ensure effective execution of marketing tactics and manage brand budgets.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in marketing within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, particularly in oncology or biosimilars.
  • Strong understanding of the US healthcare ecosystem, including HCPs, payers, and patient dynamics.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Experience in managing cross-functional teams and collaborating with sales, medical affairs, and regulatory teams.
  • Strong analytical skills to track and measure marketing effectiveness and market trends.
