About the position

WhatsApp is seeking an experienced Brand Marketing Manager to lead the Consumer Brand initiatives across key markets. This role is pivotal in shaping WhatsApp's marketing campaigns and developing strategies that enhance consumer awareness, consideration, and engagement, aligning with business and brand goals. The ideal candidate will possess strategic consumer marketing experience, particularly in the CPG or consumer tech industries, and will be adept at managing multi-channel campaigns while understanding diverse cultural and market dynamics.

Responsibilities

  • Shape the strategic and execution vision for Marketing and Brand communications across key markets.
  • Support the development and execution of brand strategies through global campaigns that drive results at each stage of the marketing funnel.
  • Partner closely with various teams to identify opportunities and deliver integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Lead reporting of marketing initiatives to determine the most efficient awareness and usage drivers, optimizing across channels.
  • Flex between strategic and tactical/execution responsibilities as needed.
  • Serve as an influential member of the WhatsApp leadership team on the future and success of WhatsApp.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in brand marketing for global consumer brands, particularly in internet, consumer technology, or consumer packaged goods.
  • Proven success in utilizing consumer research and data to drive actionable insights for marketing strategies.
  • Experience supporting large multi-million dollar campaigns with a strong understanding of communications and media planning.
  • Demonstrated experience working with media and creative agencies.
  • A track record in developing compelling consumer communication and creative strategies.
  • Experience in managing multiple campaigns simultaneously and collaborating with various internal and external teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Deep understanding of WhatsApp as a brand and product.
  • Experience with both early-stage and established products/brands.
  • Global experience working across multiple markets.
  • BA/BS degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
