About the position

GameChanger is seeking a multi-disciplinary Brand Marketing Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in planning, executing, and managing integrated marketing campaigns across various channels, ensuring that our brand messaging and visual identity remain consistent. As a remote-first tech company based in New York City, we are dedicated to addressing the challenges faced in youth sports today. The Brand Marketing Manager will report directly to the VP of Marketing and will play a crucial role in shaping the GameChanger brand narrative. In this position, you will develop and implement strategic marketing initiatives that span all consumer touchpoints. Collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders is essential to ensure cohesive brand messaging and impactful marketing efforts. You will be responsible for creating compelling narratives that resonate with our target audience, which includes athletes, coaches, fans, and sports organizations. Additionally, you will partner with our internal studio team to create content that effectively communicates the GameChanger brand story. The role also involves supporting the marketing and expansion of GameChanger's advertising product within the industry. This includes close collaboration with partners such as Dick's Sporting Goods and working cross-functionally with sales, operations, and product teams to drive success. You will enhance brand activations with partners like Major League Baseball and Little Leagues, creating memorable experiences through collaborative initiatives, marketing campaigns, and events. Tracking and measuring brand health is another critical aspect of this role. You will manage and analyze data from the Brand Health Tracker study, ensuring continuous monitoring of key performance indicators and providing actionable insights to guide strategic decisions. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about sports and has a deep understanding of the youth sports journey, enabling the creation of authentic and meaningful brand connections.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic marketing initiatives across all consumer touchpoints.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure cohesive brand messaging and impact.
  • Create compelling brand narratives and messaging that resonate with our target audience of athletes, coaches, fans, and sports organizations.
  • Partner with our internal studio team on content creation and campaign execution to effectively communicate the GameChanger brand story.
  • Support the marketing and expansion of the GameChanger advertising product within the industry, collaborating closely with Dick's Sporting Goods and working cross-functionally with sales, operations, and product teams.
  • Enhance brand activations with partners such as Major League Baseball and Little Leagues by creating memorable experiences through collaborative initiatives, marketing campaigns, and events.
  • Track and measure brand health by managing and analyzing data from the Brand Health Tracker study, ensuring continuous monitoring of key performance indicators and providing actionable insights to guide strategic decisions.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience in the B2C marketing space with both digital and traditional media experience.
  • Experience in the culture of Basketball and building brand identity and culture.
  • Demonstrated success as a Brand Manager with a comprehensive understanding of all elements of the marketing mix.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including storytelling abilities in written, verbal, and numeric forms.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of autonomy and ownership.
  • Experience in managing campaign and marketing budgets.
  • Strong analytical mindset, proficient in tracking and measuring brand health, utilizing data to inform decisions and optimize marketing efforts.
  • Creative and innovative ideas for brand activation and engagement across all consumer touchpoints.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
