About the position

The Brand Sales Strategy Manager at Yahoo Finance plays a crucial role in supporting the direct ad sales business by developing innovative strategies and creative solutions that align with client objectives. This position requires a blend of storytelling, client-centric thinking, and collaboration with various teams to deliver high-impact media solutions and branded content across multiple formats. The manager will also be responsible for understanding market insights and executing integrated programs that meet client KPIs, ensuring exceptional service throughout the campaign lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Yahoo Ads team to develop new content and product ideas that align with sponsorship goals.
  • Lead the strategy and creation of responses to RFPs, RFIs, and proactive requests, focusing on editorial sponsorships and branded content.
  • Develop clear, concise, and visually engaging pitch materials that effectively communicate insights and value propositions to clients.
  • Work with Sales to understand clients' KPIs and identify effective, on-brand solutions that meet their objectives.
  • Provide valuable marketplace feedback to innovate on products, packaging, content, and advertiser solutions.
  • Partner with internal teams to execute integrated programs across diverse client categories.
  • Implement effective distribution and promotion strategies aligned with client KPIs and content performance.
  • Engage media and content decision-makers through captivating presentations and brainstorming sessions.
  • Provide exceptional client service from the initial pitch through campaign execution, wrap-up, and renewal.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of sales strategy experience at a media company, agency, or brand with direct experience in financial services.
  • Strong understanding of content marketing and distribution best practices across all digital formats and social channels.
  • Experience pitching high-level concepts and gaining buy-in from both internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Ability to leverage research and insights to successfully reinforce client strategy.
