About the position

The Braze Technician is responsible for the application of filler metals, stop off, and fluxes according to specified process sheets. This role involves following written specifications, maintaining accurate logs, and ensuring compliance with safety and health regulations. The technician will operate related equipment, inspect parts, and perform housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and clean workplace.

Responsibilities

• Application of filler metals, stop off, and fluxes per process sheets.
• Follow written specifications and initial all processes performed, including quantity and lot numbers.
• Complete all paperwork and follow instructions upon task completion.
• Inspect parts for compliance to match router specifications.
• Operate related equipment, such as power tools when required.
• Maintain accurate logs and monitor equipment output.
• Perform housekeeping duties to ensure a safe and clean workplace.
• Use personal protective equipment as required by the job.
• Perform duties safely and responsibly, complying with all safety and health rules.
• Report all accidents to supervisor immediately.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent supplemented by one year of experience in furnace or heat-treating operations.
• Reasonable knowledge of work methods, practices, and procedures involved in maintenance and repair activities.
• Familiarity with operation of power tools is a plus.
• Understanding of customer drawings.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other staff.
• Organized and detail-oriented with a strong level of accuracy and ability to multi-task.
• Ability to prioritize and adhere to strict deadlines.
• High level of integrity; ability to handle confidential information.
