About the position

The Overnight Bread Baker at Tiny Boxwoods Productions is responsible for preparing and producing a variety of baked goods, including cookie doughs, pastries, and savory items. This full-time position requires working overnight shifts from 8 PM to 6 AM, four nights a week. The role emphasizes a passion for baking, adherence to high standards, and contributing to a positive team culture focused on food and service excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and produce cookie doughs, fresh pastries, and prepped savory items.
  • Follow traditional and modern recipes accurately.
  • Demonstrate knowledge in the preparation and baking of various doughs, cookies, muffins, and pastries.
  • Operate commercial baking equipment including ovens and mixers.
  • Accurately measure baking ingredients using scales or graduated containers.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work station with proper mise en place.
  • Inspect food products for consistency and quality.
  • Assist with the setup of banquet functions and breakfast production.
  • Adhere to sanitation, safety, and food regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with team members.

Requirements

  • Texas Food Handlers Certificate
  • Minimum two years experience in pastry
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Flexible availability in scheduling
  • Capacity to multitask

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of cake decorating and ice cream production
  • Basic knife skills including chopping and dicing
