About the position
We are seeking a passionate Dance Instructor to join our team, focusing on early childhood development through dance education. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dance and education, capable of inspiring young dancers and contributing to their growth in a safe and inclusive environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement dance lessons for students of various ages and skill levels
- Educate students on different dance styles, techniques, and routines
- Provide individualized instruction to students as needed
- Manage classroom activities and ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment
- Incorporate elements of theater, music, and movement into dance lessons
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff to create engaging programs
Requirements
- Proficiency in various dance styles such as ballet, jazz, tap, or contemporary
- Experience in early childhood education or working with preschool-aged children
- Strong classroom management skills to keep students engaged and focused
- Ability to tailor instruction to meet the needs of students with special education requirements
- Knowledge of tutoring techniques to support individual student progress
