About the position
As a Breakdown Coordinator at Ashley Furniture, you will play a crucial role in the Transportation and Fleet Operations team by efficiently coordinating equipment breakdowns and ensuring necessary repairs are executed by nearby vendors. This position requires excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of equipment maintenance processes to guide drivers throughout the breakdown process. You will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with drivers to ensure prompt internal follow-up on equipment matters.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate equipment breakdowns efficiently.
- Ensure necessary repairs are carried out by nearby vendors.
- Collaborate with drivers for prompt internal follow-up on equipment matters.
- Provide guidance and education to drivers throughout the breakdown process.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in equipment maintenance with a strong understanding of maintenance processes and procedures.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the transportation industry, preferably in a logistics or operations role.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Detail-oriented and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in using computer systems and software.
