About the position

The Breakfast Attendant at Comfort Inn & Suites is responsible for creating a welcoming breakfast experience for guests. This role involves preparing and serving breakfast items, maintaining cleanliness in the breakfast area, and ensuring high standards of food safety. The Breakfast Attendant will also engage with guests to ensure their satisfaction and assist in training new staff members.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up the breakfast area prior to service, ensuring all food items are fresh and presented attractively.
• Cook and prepare a variety of breakfast foods according to established recipes and food safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness in the breakfast area by regularly cleaning tables, countertops, and equipment.
• Monitor food inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
• Communicate with guests to ensure satisfaction with their meal and address any concerns promptly.
• Utilize Aloha POS system for tracking guest preferences and managing orders efficiently.
• Follow all food handling guidelines to ensure safety and compliance with health regulations.
• Assist in training new staff members on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a food service or hospitality environment is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of food handling, preparation, and safety practices is essential.
• Strong phone etiquette skills for communication with guests when necessary.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Familiarity with cooking techniques and meal preparation is advantageous.
